Open July 3 & 4, 2007 June 29, 2007

We weren’t open last year and I regretted it so we’re open this year 11:30 to 4:00. Stop by on your way to Taste of Chicago or on your way home. Don’t forget, Tuesday night is Chicago’s big fireworks show orchestrated with live accompaniment by the Chicago Symphony playing at Millennium Park.

Since there are lots of vantage points to watch the Fireworks not far from Loopy Yarns, how about going together? If anyone wants to join me, we can leave the store at 4 with our knitting, chairs, snacks, and/or beverages to stake out a place to knit and watch the fireworks! Wherever 2 knitters are gathered together, there is a Knit-In.

Summer Sale Starts Sunday 7/1! June 29, 2007

This Sunday starts our Summer Sale. We’ve struggled to put over 100 yarns on sale! Many of these yarns are favorites of our staff and we’ve put off letting them go, but it’s time. There are yarns from almost all of our vendors, including some of your favorites – Lorna’s Laces, Fleece Artist, Manos, Wool in the Woods, Brown Sheep, and Farmhouse, to name a few.

We’re doing something different for this sale. The sale will start at 40% off and go to 70% off what is left on Sunday, July 15. At the end of the day, July 31st, the rest will go to charity.

For your shopping pleasure, we’ll be open Tuesday, July 3 and Wednesday, July 4 from 11:30 to 4:00.

Fashion Show This Friday June 7, 2007

We are having our customer appreciation fashion show tomorrow. Bring your finnished projects to show off! We will be serving refreshments. The event starts at 5 and goes till 9pm. Hope to see you there.
